Geneva won its third consecutive game and improved to 6-1 on the young season with a hard-fought 81-71 win against Franciscan at the Metheny Field House. Facing a feisty Franciscan team, Geneva was deadlocked 33-33 at the half and the reigning PAC Player of the Year, Lyle Tipton, was held to just seven points. However, in the second half, Tipton took over the game and willed the Tornado to victory. Tipton netted a game-high 29 and controlled the glass with 15 rebounds. For his efforts, Tipton was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
