Men’s Basketball – Chatham
#14 Malik Potter
6-2 Senior Guard
Stat Line: 27 points, 3 steals
The Chatham Cougars set a new program best for victories in a single-season with their 20th win of the 2021-22 campaign, defeating Franciscan on Tuesday night in the PAC quarterfinals, 88-73. The second-seeded Cougars exacted revenge for a loss to the Barons in the regular season finale on Saturday. However, Saturday’s defeat was without senior guard Malik Potter. With Potter back in the lineup in the quarterfinals, the sharpshooter from Winchester Thurston poured in a game-high 27 points on 12 made field goals, one bucket shy of the program’s single-game record. For his efforts, Potter was tabbed the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
