Before an electric crowd at the Finnegan Fieldhouse, the Franciscan Barons knocked off the second-place Chatham Cougars on Saturday, 87-83. In a game that featured nine ties and 11 lead changes, the host Barons prevailed in the most exciting game of the day in the PAC. It was also senior day in Steubenville and the victory was a fitting regular season send off for Sean Hickey. The grad student guard frequently sliced through the Chatham defense for a game-high 32 points on 10-of-17 shooting from the field. Hickey’s 32-point effort puts him 8 points away from third place on Franciscan’s all-time scoring list. Hickey also pumped in four 3-pointers and added three assists and three rebounds, earning Foster Law Offices Player of the Game honors.
