#23 J.R. Mazza
6-2 Sophomore Guard
Stat Line: 16 points (4-for-9 on 3-pointers)
The high-powered W&J Presidents used a strong defensive effort to outlast Waynesburg on the road, 61-52, on Wednesday night. The Presidents were held to 20 points in the first half, but doubled their output in the second half to earn the win. While W&J held Waynesburg’s offense in check, sophomore guard J.R. Mazza sparked the Presidents and knocked down several critical 3-pointers in the second half. Mazza finished with 16 points on the night and poured in 4-of-9 attempts from beyond the arc. For his play, Mazza was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
