The Waynesburg Yellow Jackets scored an impressive 61-55 road upset at W&J on Saturday afternoon. Points in the paint were crucial in the outcome of this contest and junior forward Isaiah Alonzo came through in a big way for the Yellow Jackets, posting a game-high 23 points and a career-high 16 rebounds. Facing outstanding W&J forwards Jake Livingston, Kiki Agbale and Nick Campalong, Alonzo alone outscored the Presidents’ trio, 23-6. Not only making an impact down low, Alonzo displayed his shooting range with 4-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. For his efforts, Alonzo was tabbed the AHN Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
