The Thiel Tomcats improved to 3-2 in conference play with an 84-73 win over the reigning PAC champion Chatham Cougars. Thiel’s dominance on the glass helped the Tomcats prevail, holding a 34-22 advantage. Spearheading that effort was senior forward Michael Ricks with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Of his 10 boards, seven were on the offensive glass which paced Thiel’s 25 second-chance points. Adding a game-high seven assists, Ricks was named the Foster Law Offices by the PAC Sports Network.
