The Allegheny Gators secured the No. 5 seed in the upcoming PAC Tournament with a 71-58 home win over Waynesburg on Saturday. The Gators built an 18-point lead in the third quarter and staved off a Yellow Jackets rally in the fourth to improve to 13-12 overall and 12-8 in league play. Fittingly on Senior Day, it was one of the seniors who helped the Gators prevail. Senior guard Alexis Caldwell netted a season-high 15 points, while adding five rebounds, three blocks and three assists in a well-rounded performance. For her efforts, Caldwell was selected as the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
