Chatham trailed by as much as nine points in the second half but rallied for a 75-70 win over Grove City on Saturday. The Cougars clawed their way back in the final nine minutes and led 71-70 with just 24 seconds remaining. Coming out of a Chatham timeout, sophomore Blaine Gartley came through with a clutch fade away jumper to extend the lead to 73-70 with 13 seconds to play. After a defensive stop, Chatham put the game away at the free-throw line in the waning seconds to close out the victory, keeping the Cougars in fifth place in a tight race in the PAC standings. In addition to his late-game heroics, Gartley netted 10 points on 5-of-9 shooting from the field, while adding five rebounds and four assists. For his efforts, Gartley was tabbed the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
