A last second shot by Reese Leone with 1.4 seconds remaining propelled Westminster to a 68-66 win over Thiel in the PAC quarterfinals. While Leone scored the game winner, it was senior forward Josh Hutcherson who powered the Titans in a second half comeback. Trailing 39-25 coming out of halftime, the Titans chipped away at their deficit. Hutcherson’s play was paramount as he seemingly scored at will near the basket against one of the top forwards in the conference, Thiel’s Ahmad Tejumola. Hutcherson scored 23 points in the game, with 17 coming in the second half on 10-of-16 shooting from the floor. He also held Tejumola to just 4-of-12 shooting from the field. Adding 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double of the season, Hutcherson was named the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
