The Geneva Golden Tornadoes earned their first PAC Tournament win since joining the conference 10 years ago with an exciting 76-73 win over Franciscan on Monday night. The Tornadoes were spurred on by a record-breaking performance by Cynthia Stewart. The sophomore guard swiped 10 steals on the night, and in the process, set a new program single-season record for steals with 94 on the campaign. Stewart surpassed the old mark of 92, originally set during the 1978-79 season. With Franciscan trailing by three points in the game’s final possession, Stewart sealed the victory with her 10th steal of the night. Adding 17 points on offense, Stewart was selected as the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
