In an important home game to boost playoff positioning for next week, the fourth-place Chatham Cougars earned a convincing 67-38 win over fifth-place Bethany on Saturday. Leading 24-21 at the half, the Cougars exploded for 43 points and eight 3-pointers in the second half to pull away. Chatham was led by freshman guard Emily Durkee, who netted a game-high 19 points off the bench and three 3-pointers. Holding a 13-point lead early in the fourth quarter, the Cougars blew the game open with a 16-0 run. Durkee helped spur on the run with seven consecutive points on her way to Foster Law Offices Player of the Game honors.
