The Chatham Cougars started slow but finished strong en route to a comfortable 92-71 win over Saint Vincent on Wednesday night. The Cougars used a a 52-point outburst in the second half to take command of the game, sparked in part by sophomore guard Brandon Lavernia. After missing most of last season due to injury, Lavernia is now fully healthy and put up 20 points, pulled down six rebounds and dished out five assists to capture AHN Player of the Game honors. The 52 points scored by Chatham in the second half was the third most scored in one half by the Cougars in program history.
