The Grove City Wolverines earned their first PAC championship since 1987 with an exciting 54-52 win over the W&J Presidents on Saturday. The title victory also marked Grove City’s 12th in a row and set a new program standard for wins in a season with a 25-2 record. The PAC Defensive Player of the Year, Kate Balcom, helped the Wolverines to the win with 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists. Balcom, along with teammate Jess Bowen, were both named to the PAC All-Tournament Team. For her efforts on the title win, Balcom was also selected as the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
