Women’s Basketball – W&J
#11 Hannah Johnston
5-8 Junior Guard
Stat Line: 16 points, 3 rebounds
With a lockdown defensive effort, the fourth-seeded W&J Presidents topped the fifth-seeded Chatham Cougars on Wednesday night in the PAC quarterfinals, 65-55. Facing the best 3-point shooting team in the PAC, the Presidents limited the Cougars to 7-of-23 shooting from beyond the arc. Additionally, W&J held the top scorer in the PAC, Emily Ondo, to an inefficient 5-of-22 from the field. Spearheading the defensive charge was junior Hannah Johnston, who also finished with 16 points. All of her 16 points came after halftime, helping the Presidents put the visiting Cougars on ice in the second half. Johnston was selected as the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game by the PAC Sports Network.
