In the PAC opener on Wednesday night, the Waynesburg Yellow Jackets won a physical battle with the Grove City Wolverines by an 81-71 decision. Waynesburg senior wing Nate Gearhart poured in 19 points in just over 24 minutes of play off the bench to help spearhead the win. He knocked down seven-of-10 field goals, including three-of-five tries from three-point range. Gearhart also grabbed a team-high six rebounds. The PAC Sports Network selected Gearhart as the Foster Law Offices Player of the Game.
