Playing without two starters and a short bench due to injury, the Thiel Tomcats outlasted the Geneva Golden Tornadoes 65-54. Junior guard Jess Vormelker gave a spectacular and inspiring performance by scoring 25 points and posting a career-best 17 rebounds. Vormelker made 8-of-15 shots from the floor, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range. She also recorded five assists and four blocks en route to Foster Law Offices Player of the Game honors.
